Try turning the key back a little after the engine starts up. Not to the point the car turns off. I had a car, not a Camaro, that when I started it the gauges, fan motor and blinkers would not work. After a few days I realized if I turned the key back towards me a little everything came back on.

I would think if it was an alarm issue it would kill the starter. Let us know what works.

need more info. Does the car actually run? TPI? Is the anti theft device an aftermarket unit?

if all power leaves when you try to engage the starter, check all the battery connections, and check the battery condition(load test it)
