1988 Iroc-z good deal?

Im looking at a 1988 Iroc-z for $1500. I was wondering if this is a good deal? He said it has no problems, but it needs a battery, and a little bit of transmission fluid leaks when it sits for awhile. It also has 02 camaro z28 seats in it instead of the stock ones. And it has 147,000 miles on it. I know its a lot but the car is only $1500. Do you think its a good deal? Here are some pictures:

Based on what I've seen from the pics I wouldn't think twice about it. I would buy it! The miles are high for me, but the body looks clean with great paint.

I'd jump on that. For a straight body like that $1500 a good deal. The miles don't matter to me after 100k because that's about when you start having to replace stuff.

Yes that is a good deal, esp.considering the cond. of the body, the whls. are orig, interior looks ok.,not totally destroyed, etc.Another thing is" no t-tops"!Btw welcome to the board.

Looks like a good buy esp. If it runs!! Looks like fresh paint.

Check fluids after you drive it a bit.. See if it overheats, etc. might ve a basketcase in IROC clothing..

I bought mine for $1500 and it was all gutted out and engine was bad. But mine has no rust at all and 42,000 miles. I'd say that's a good deal!

It's been painted (no blacked out headlights). I think it is a 350 car since the square shift ****? From the pictures it looks like a steal.
