Question 1988 Camaro Ignition

While starting my 88 Camaro today, I turned the Ignition , it started, but the key would'nt spring back to the on position(kinda between start and on. luckly it moved back far enough to disengage the starter, but now its stuck, I can't turn it off, or get my keys out. I pulled the fuse to shut it off, and I can restart, but I'd kinda like to get my keys out and correct the problem, I wiggled it and the column, gear selector, and the wheel,no go, Any sugestions??????

your gonna have to rip apart the whole steering colum and take a look inside. you might have a lock or spring mechanism thats probably broken. The thing is its probably a big and pain in the *** problem but its probably somthing very little broken in it, gotta love old cars

Yeah it sounds like you have a broken part in the key cylinder. You're gonna have to pull the steering wheel and tear the column apart to fix it, and that's no fun.
