Can an 85 z have a 350 TPI or where they just 305's in that year?

350 not until 87. The 85 305TPI did have the better cam than the 86 305TPI

 

No 350's that year only 305's. I hope you didn't buy a 85 thinking it was a 350???

 

not from the factory, but who knows...it could have been swapped somewhere along the line.

only way to be sure is to get the block casting numbers.

 

Yea a 22 year old car could have a lot of alterations. It could have a 350 from a newer Camaro, Vette, or Jasper engine.

I would think most people would replace a wore out 305 with a 350 everytime. It doesn't cost anymore.
