145 speedo

Well I bought a speedo for me 92 Z28 and found out t was the wrong one. I asked a guy if it would work in my car and he told me yes I guess he screwed me or didn't know. Well I have a complete speedo for a 82 to 89 Z28 for sale 200.00 plus shipping. And is there a way to fix my old one or do I need to find a replacement one. Or do someone just sell the speedo to replace my factory one.
