Aye, I went 115 on serveral occasions with the stock RS. It pulls just a little more now

My 305 TBI with a few bolt-ons (stock longblock and induction) put down 271 rwtq @2800 rpm, I would say that's pretty close to your 296 rwtq.

Let it be guys he started something he can't finish. I think he just wants to bag the TBI and also that you have a 305 engine.

He has the big 350 so all the 305's are **** in his eyes.

You know it is funny hearing guys like this they think they have the best engine blah blah. But they don't realise that a guy with a 383 can hang crap on him. Then a 400 guy comes along and hangs crap on the 383. The a 454 guy can come along and bag everyone from 305 to 454. Then someone can get a 520 and hang **** on everyone else.

Then you can just about shove that 350 up your butt and shut your mouth. Always a bigger fish in the sea but some guys with 350's just don't see it and bag the 305 all the time.

The 305 is not a bad engine at all. What is the difference in HP? 30-40hp big deal.

 

The guy that started this is a buddy of mine and doesn't come on here much, so if you can burn him a chip email him.

As far as hitting 115 in a 305tbi... I don't see why not I have a 94 Lumina Euro with a 3.1 that hits 115 easily and would keep pulling if it weren't for the speed limiter.

 

I think he just thinks that his car is so much better than a TBI, I drive a car that would beat his but, I would still take my MINT 1991 Formula 5-Speed w/42,000 miles over what I have now.
