Exclamation $hit! didi i set the timing properly....DOH!!!!!

when i set the timing on the car, i unplugged the brown/black wire that was hanging off to the pass. side fender well area. checked it at idle, roughly 9/10degrees.
then with wire still unplugged , revved it up to 3000rpm, and it read 35 degrees, is that correct? this is the STOCK HEI distributor, for the 305 tpi in the car.

Thats pretty advanced... I think the stock 350 is 8 degrees and the 305 is 6 degrees or something like that. I'm probably wrong but I thing thats in the right neighbourhood.

Stock with the wire unplugged should be 6* advanced, taner. and yes it should jump way up when you get on the throttle.

car runs awesome! pulled almost 4 degrees out of it. bottom end may not be as strong as before but past 3k rpm it is a whole different ball game
