Camaro V6 lgx service Stabilitrak and blink checkengine, Misfire detected - p0300
hi,
i have a problem i can't solve. The car speaks. stabilitrack and checkengine. ENGINE has reduced power.
What did I check?, coils, spark plugs, air filter, I replaced one injection and the coil.
The spark plugs look fine except for the one in bank 2 which is black and looks like it is flooded or not burning the fuel mixture. I swapped coils from other banks, same thing. i swapped spark plugs from other banks same thing and every time the plug taken out of bank 2 is black. I disconnected all the coils one by one while the engine was running to check the response of the engine. when each coil is disconnected, the motor responds, which means the bank is working. this is different when bank 2 is disconnected. The motor does not respond to disconnection. works the same as before disconnection.
The car starts normally or almost normally. Every now and then it freezes and I have to press the button again. engine revs are not fluctuating. The check engine light came on once every 200 miles. the power was the same. currently engine power is limited. it doesn't turn over and it doesn't burn on bank 2. what's up with the exhaust and the engine. the engine shakes slightly. normal engine rpm speed.

To be very honest, there aren't any active 5th or 6th Gen owners on this site that I am aware of. Mostly stuck in the past with 4th Gen LT1 owners/experts.
This is an extremely complex engine - direct injection, continuously variable valve timing, dual overhead camshafts, cylinder deactivation, etc. And poster appears to reside in Poland.
Just going by the text in your screenshots, it seems like the problem might be related to the camshaft position sensor on the bank 2 intake cam.
I’d suggest you consult the service manual (or equivalent, e.g. AllData). If you don’t have that, find a reputable professional mechanic.
Thank you for your answer. is it then possible that it does not smoke only on 1 cylinder number 2 by the camshaft sensor? wouldn't it be a problem with more pots/banks?

Yes, I'm from Poland and I love Camaro. but i am confused by this problem. it was ok and suddenly he got his *** and something broke 🤔 and I thought the car was indestructible 😉. The injections are indirect because they go to the collector of what I know

would there really be a problem with only one cylinder through the sensor? Shouldn't be a problem for a few?. I was thinking about the shaft sensor because the problems are on bank 2 which has an inlet and outlet valve. I do not want to replace all the spark plugs, coils, injectors because I see that this is not the cause of the problem. The shaft sensor is just possible ... I thought about it.
Carbon buildup, particularly on the valves can be a problem with direct injection. So are deposits on the injectors, and plugging of the positive crankcase ventilation system. This can lead to further carbon buildup and misfires.
Seems to describe your problems. I suspect this requires more than an “engine flush”.
What is required to clean everything up is not my area of expertise. While I am a licensed professional (mechanical) engineer, I have no experience at all with working on direct injection. I don't think there are any people here that do have that experience. I could be wrong. If we do, hopefully one of them will join this discussion.

this is very interesting information: "and plugging of the positive crankcase ventilation system." can you explain more? How to check or recognize it? supposedly the valves and all this crap can be cleaned with a special preparation or just kerosene?
What you are describing may actually be the cause. in the pictures you can see what the injection looked like, a similar mess is on top of the piston.

I only know what I read in the article I linked, and from articles I have read in the past. I have no knowledge of what material would effectively remove the carbon buildup. You really need to find a website the deals with the newer engine technology.
The only online source of downloadable .pdf factory service manuals I am aware of does not have anything newer than 2001 models.
You need to understand, I am “in over my head” in solving your issues.
Hi. I just wanted to write that I solved the problem. the problem turned out to be the vvt control. 2 variable valve timing valves failed. They just blew up the oil pressure I guess. because they probably stopped working, the pressure went and burst them. replacing 2 vvt valves and the car works like this doll. valves cost $100 new in store $250. Thank you for your help.
