Time for rumors, gossip and speculation. . .

Here's my initial guess on the 6th Gen Z/28. It's going to be powered by a higher output version of the twin turbo V6 found in the Cadillac ATS-V. It was stated that the 6th Gen Z/28 would have an engine closer in size to the original 302 motor. I know the Twin Turbo is not a V8 but I'm sure they can get a reliable 550 hp to 600 hp out of it with no problem. That combined with the lighter weight of the 6th Gen will make it a real GT350 killer! Just my guess.

 

Interesting predictions. I'm betting on an LT4 variant, as found in the CTS-V and Z06.

 

I think the LT4 will be for the ZL1.

New motor. LT7. N/A 600hp. 7.2l small block....

Agreed! It will be interesting to see if ZL1 and Z28 have different engines.

 

I'm curious will the new Z28 offer the 8 speed Auto Tran ??
