WOW...you are nuts.

Tough call...haven't seen them offered. Summit or Jegs?

Not street-legal, need to be DOT approved- which they wouldn't be. Not a big deal in back, in the front it might be. Not to mention that Lexan is pretty soft, and prone to getting scratches in it. Easier ways to get weight out of a car. Gut the interior. lighter wheels and tires.

I don't think he will drive it in the rain. It may not even have wipers...

That's pretty crazy. If you're not using wipers it could be made to work on a track car. I made a 1/4" thick Makrolon (polycarbonate) rear window on my wrangler hardtop and it scratches so bad I have to buff and wax it every year, and I try not to ever touch it unless i have to clean it. I would never want the stuff for the front where you have to see out of it, at least on a daily driver. There might even be some sort of laminate coatings that are harder which would offer scratch resistance.
My rear window is floppy when I lift the 'tailgate' glass. Up front on a fast car where it's got a ton of pressure on it from high speeds, you'd have to put some sort of curve into it at least or it might do some really weird stuff.

Maybe I'm wrong but isn't the 1/10th per 100lbs more for stockish vehicles, or does it apply the same to vehicles with a drastically different power-to-weight ratio?

Actually, it applies to pretty much everything, including fuel dragsters and stock vehicles...

I was just reading FSC magazine at work, and saw an ad for this company:

Optic Armor Performance windows

The ad says they have drop in 4th and 5th gen Camaro lexan windows.
