MPG targets for V8?
I got my 4th gen numbers(which I was a little off on) from Edmunds.com, you can check the numbers here:

However effective/ineffective DOD is, it would be loss for GM to exclude it from the features list, as I'm sure the Challenger will have it.

My combined numbers on my 94 Z (before I sold it) were in the low 20's but on the Highway I never averaged below 29. I would typically get 30-31 MPG on road trips. I though this was common for most of us? Even my SS get's over 30 MPG on highway stints.
My speed is usually anywhere between 70-90mph, the majority of my time being spent between 80-85mph. If someone kept it at 70mph, I'd imagine they would have better numbers. My highway mileage was/is:
95 LT1 A4 w/2.73's Just over 22mpg
96 LT1 A4 w/3.23's Hover right around 20mpg
01 LS1 M6 w/3.42's Right around 26mpg

96 LT1 A4 w/3.23's Hover right around 20mpg
01 LS1 M6 w/3.42's Right around 26mpg
I was just looking at the Chevy Colorados with the 3.7 I-5 and they are only rated at 16/23mpg. Looks like a good old s-10 will be my parts truck.
