MPG targets for V8?

However effective/ineffective DOD is, it would be loss for GM to exclude it from the features list, as I'm sure the Challenger will have it.


My combined numbers on my 94 Z (before I sold it) were in the low 20's but on the Highway I never averaged below 29. I would typically get 30-31 MPG on road trips. I though this was common for most of us? Even my SS get's over 30 MPG on highway stints.

With LT1 A4's w/2.73s I typically have seen 20-26mpg highway (depends on how much of a hurry you are in.. 95 or 65). I am hoping to see 28mpg hwy on the new v-8 models.

I was just looking at the Chevy Colorados with the 3.7 I-5 and they are only rated at 16/23mpg. Looks like a good old s-10 will be my parts truck.
