engine removal
will the preferred method of removal still be out the bottom like the 4th gens?
is it bad that I am tempted to start piecing together an lsx without knowing if I can get this car?

And because I have seen the guys at GMMG go from car on the ground in running trim to having the entire trans,motor, and K member out in less than 20 minutes...
Seriously they used to race each other in the shop. I can't be sure but I think Mike told me they were able to get one out in 12 minutes start to finish one time but that was with two guys working on it.

Not really. It does look like non-removable glass panels can be put in, which would be pretty cool. As far as actual t-tops, I wouldn't be cutting out the roof supports just above the windows without a roll bar with welded in door bars. They look pretty damn structural to me.

Looks like a fine work of art to me. I wouldn't want to cut it up for T-tops either. Glass tops wouldn't be a bad sacrifice IMO. It does look like the engine should come right out the top.

I got a bunch of pics of the process of when I did it at home. it was messy, but I have done it by myself in a day.

too much work for me. id rather pay someone to pull the motor out for me. im not very mechanically inclined when it comes to huge projects like that. plus i have a disorder where i cant start a project and leave it unfinished. i would have to spend the entire time working on it without any sleep. i cant stand having unfinished projects.

I just checked out the new Comaro. Here's what I've noticed. Almost
every forum out there there's must be so many young dudes that's never
taken apart and engine and then there's some that have.
Why would General Motors make the new motor so complicated??? It's incased
in aluminum and stainless steel??? They've made it tiresome to work on?
Why would they do this? It's not a Ferrari...
It's a New Comaro that will compete with the 05-11 Mustangs.
Granted the 2005-2011 Mustangs are easy to work on, why not make the Comaro the same way???
I believe if General Motors doesn't get a handle on the accessability of the mechanical components they will eventually run off buyers down the road.
Ford made there Mustangs easy as cake to upgrade and replace mileage parts...
Watch and learn boys. Look at the screws encasing the engine in the photos.
