it should in my opinion. i would pay 40,000.00 for it. its still 10-15 thousand cheaper than a vette. what ever they do im waiting after the first year production is done and take alook and see what they do to the car its 2nd year. learned my lesson with a 93 camaro z28 i had. first year production cars are trouble

I think it should happen too, whether it will or not, who knows. I do know that I won't pay 40,000 plus grand either for the top dog Camaro, but I would like to see something with alot of power that will outshine any of the competitors offerings.

I wouldn't be one bit suprised if there are 40k Camaros running around that don't have a 15k LS7 in them... So if you insist on getting your hopes up be prepared to sell a bodypart as well.

Speaking of the 427....anyone see the new GMHTP mag with the GMPP Camaro LS7 swap? I'd love to see it as the high-end option in the new Camaro, but there will probably be something better by then. It will be interesting to see if the 5th gen comes with the new 3-valve heads that GM just got the patent for, or the rumors of dual in-block cams.

Again, the high performance Camaro will be the Z/28 not the SS. Scott has dropped hints repeatedly.

And scott can repeatedly drop hints all he wants, I dont think scott is going to risk his job by telling people on the internet whats really going down inside GM.

I haven't seen that issue yet.. is that this months or is it an older one? I agree though, by the time the new Camaro comes out, there will probably be another LSx variant that will kick the LS7 off the throne.

it will happen but to be honest gm took alot of time and money to engineer that motor and i cant see them modifing anything out under the LSX again. i think if they are going to spend the money i think they will move on to building a completly different motor.

LS7 will most likely be dead by 2010. Rumors are a 6.2L and a supercharged 6.2L.

Its this months issue. They also have sections on the LSx block (badass) and some new cheap hi-po GM LS heads.

Yeah, the transmission kept giving him problems hanging up between the gears. Thats what was holding the car back a lot.
