I don't understand this mindset.

In Sweden, there are tons of gorgeous blonde women. Do you think that detracts from their appeal?

Not to mention, Sweden has a very large Camaro following.

I clicked on it hoping to see at least a couple pictures of Camaros with hot Swedish blondes draped over the hood. No such luck. Then I scrolled down and saw the "****" link near the bottom -- but still, no such luck.

I drove all summer last year and saw maybe 6-7 camaros....I am sure most days I saw 6-7 mustangs....The car is timeless in design and staggering in performance....so the new 5.0liter will be fast? honestly guys....how much faster?? and with a few well placed dollars could I not get my SS to keep up....Camaro vs Mustang...appeal score ...camaro wins it hands down no matter if mustang "might be a little quicker...
Ok so your not happy that the Camaro is selling 100k units a year and you will soon see one at every 7-11 in the USA????????

Why the hate towards Mustang, its an american build car that looks great and performs great. Why not hate on the imports that just about shut GM down?

It's great that you like your Camaro so much, but without all of those Mustangs on the road you would NOT have a Camaro right now, thats the bottom line.

If you want rare car buy a ZR1, don't see too many of those.

hate?? no hate for Fords sir(actually admire Mullally and his team and what they are doing)....NO INTEREST in Mustangs.....that is the point....too common...as mine will be in a few years...also neater car...
Hate?? nah....No hate for imports either...like YOU siad...without all the great imports GM would never have improved their quality....Just soo many Mustang admirers on this site it makes me laugh...Maybe I will start lurking on the Mustang sites and tell the world what a great car my Camaro is....hmmmm...

I think we are comparing stock vs stock cars here, if your going to compare modded cars go somewhere else. You could make a old 1985 ford pick up truck faster than a camaro for cheaper also, but that is not the point. Stock vs stock, once you go modded its all up in the air.

I personally love what both companies are doing now. Sat in the new Mustang and Camaro this year at the Auto Show and loved both cars. I still prefer the Camaro, but I am glad that U.S. companies are stepping it up and making very stylish and quality cars. And this rebirth of the modern Pony car era is absolutely incredible. All I heard in high school was about Acura Integras, Toyota Supras, Nissan Skylines, Mitsubishi Evos, etc. Now, it has been a solid two years since these conversations have ceased for the most part and the hype around the new design for Mustang in 2005 as well as the Charger then Challenger and finally Camaro. I don't know about you, but I love it!

like Toyota the best built coffins in the world.

Hate to say it but i think Ford will finally beat Chevy (for a little while untill GM is able to build the Z28) 5.0 L engine - 400 hp 6-speed manual and their supposed to be keeping it around the same weight approx 3400 - 3500 lbs the camaro hate to say it cause i love camaros but the new one is porky at around 3800 lbs and the extra 27 horse wont do much. also ford cant be beat with that solid rear end (they did however destroy the look of the mustang with the new facelift the 2006-2009 mustangs looked way better)

Car and Driver got 13.2 @ 109 out of the 2011 Mustang GT. Seems like an even race with the 2010 Camaro SS. We will see what GM has in store for the 2011 Camaro SS like gear options. That is all it will need to distance itself again.

i am QUITE sure ed whitacre and the gm management team is not asleep and will absolutely respond in-kind to the 2011 v6 and v8 salvos from ford. they must respond or risk looking like the slow-moving giant of decades gone by which brought it to bankruptcy. public is watching.
