Re: Zl1pricing

I just read a car and driver article saying that it will be 47k.

Not sure how official it is...plus dealer markup will be significant.

I have good reason to believe that number is incorrect.

Don't be suprised if you see a "Market Adjustment" on the sticker as well. They do that with the Shelby Mustangs in NJ to the tune of $10,000. I'm guessing 50K+ on the ZL1.

GM will sell every ZL1 they build and if they only build 5,000 the first year if they are anything like when the SS came out or the GT-500 they will go for 5 - 10k over sticker the first year.

The Vette has and is going upscale as well, i would assume that the C7 will cost more as well.

I hope I am wrong but if they price it equal to the current loaded 2012 GT-500 it will be over 50k.
Everyone knows that whatever the price of the ZL1 it is going to be amazing, and a plus that it is American as well!...but there are people going to cross shop a Vette and a Camaro. The backseat is not really all that usuable anyway, even for kids. Yes they are 2 different type of sports car, the Vette having more finesse and the Camaro having more or a muscle car brut feel to it. I am just saying that there will be a lot of people, including myself, that would rather pay close to $60K for a C7 with quite a few options in it than a ZL1 close to $60K that is loaded. I hope GM sells every ZL1 they build, but the reality is that GM has some competition within its' own Chevy brand between the 2 cars, something that say a company like Ford does not have.
