I dunno. I searched it and someone was killed their last year in a 911 Turbo. Maybe that was what I was thinking of.

We sure have received some attention because of this video! Things could have been much worse... the car is a little banged up, but it's mostly cosmetic and a couple arms bent. All in all the Camaro handled 70+mph into the embankment pretty well!

There have been some pretty high profile and unfortunate accidents at this event in years past. The course is extremely treacherous and is NOT to be taken lightly. Anything can happen when you're averaging 90+ mph up the side of a mountain with no guard rails.

We've got some footage that shows what happened here. As Aaron Pfadt gets the car turned in and set on his line he hits a little bit of dirt on the road surface, it's to be expected at this kind of event. Hauling as fast as he was that dirt sent the car into an understeer situation that wasn't recoverable. Instead of panicing and throwing the car off the side of the cliff he rides the understeer out into the embankment.

Sure was a lot of fun! The car is just about on the road again, and will be back on track soon!

 

Hey, that's how one learns... by making mistakes... lots of factors to just blame it in one thing. I am glad you guys are pushing your product and giving us enthusiast different things to choose from. Keep it up and I look forward to seeing more from you guys.
