Get out of my head Guy!!!

However, if I go to my dealer the first day we're able to order a top dog Camaro, and order it built up to my specs, shouldn't the dealer mark-up be minimal?

Dealer greed and first year bugs are inevitable, and will help me wait until the 2nd year.

I'd be interested to see how many of those who voted they'd wait for the 500hp version...actually WILL buy it. Or any NEW Camaro for that matter.

If they make the 500 hp version I'll be putting my 2000 up for sale and buying it. If not then I'll have to wait till my truck is paid off in 2010 and buy whatever is availble then

Re: Who's Holding Out for the BIG Boy?

Frankly I'm holding out for the first convertible. I doubt it will be available with the 500hp motor.
2nd, I had a "first year" '93 Z28. That car never had a problem (except the tranny mount gave twice while I was dispensing someone in a street shootout. a $45.00 fix ) Heard that was a common problem with autos.
I put 185,000 HARD miles on it. Many 1/4 mile at a time. The only real "bug" it had was I kept seeing Mustangs in the REAR VIEW MIRROR

Re: Who's Holding Out for the BIG Boy?

Honestly, I normally would do that but I will have much bigger plans for the car that will only be acheived with mods so I'm most likely going to purchase the next to the top of the line car in the form of the LS2. I'd hate to waste all of that money for the 500hp when it could be used to pump the Hell out of the LS2 so I guess my answer is no... I will not be waiting... I want a Z28 now and I want aftermarket stuff IMMEDIATLY!

I probably won't be able to afford the top dog. Plus I want one ASAP .

Hmm...that IS interesting, but I do note that he says, "SHOULD the need arise....", words not exactly set in stone. Sure Sounds good though!
