I didn't have time to read all of it, but on the single cam 3v, are they patenting the 3v or their particular solution for it? I'm not sure of Fords arrangement, so I'm guessing its the packaging. The 2 cam version is certainly interesting! Note the date...3 and a half years ago!

ford is using a 3 valve OHC design

Notice that Fred Rozario, who is the GM engineer who accompanied the 3V CTS-V in the one story and is quoted in AW in the other, is listed as one of the inventors for the single cam 3V.

Remember the XV8 engine in the Signum concept from a few years ago?
It had two, in block cams and three valve heads!
