Trunk/trunkspace.. hatch or not? How roomy is it in there?

All those will be something that will be decided closer to production time. Right now the main thing of focus is outside, interior etc and reactions. The final platform, aka the Zeta-Lite, isn't even done yet. Its still in the works. The chasis in the concept isn't the actual production chasis, and is heavier than the actual production one being worked on, so weight isn't something that can be commented on. All that will be sorted out later, and right now isn't really anything anyone should be concerned out at this point.

As for the hatch or not question, I couldn't get close enough to the back of the car for a true look. Huge crowd back there, and I was too busy snapping interior pics. Its probably a tad larger inside than a 4th gen IMO. Maybe a little more headroom and leg room up front, but rear is still pretty tiny.

 

I thought I saw it open as a hatch? Not a trunk? But that pic kinda shows it as a trunk I dunno.

 

I would hate to think it's a hatchback. From the pic in the 2nd post, it's a trunk.

 

Maybe it is a hatchtrunk.

 

I'd like to see the trunk myself. Thats the only part we have not seen into yet.
