Question Tail light question.

Can someone please explain the difference between RS unique tail lamps and regular ones? I have seen plenty of pictures of the back of the car but they all look exactly the same ,Thanks.

They are darker, and I am not sure about the trim ring.

After having seen the cars this weekend, the RS lights are darker. Only slightly darker but still nice.

Thanks guys I was starting to think that it meant that the production cars would have the reverse lights in the tail light and not on the bumper.

Yeah, it looked the same to me, but they are actually a bit darker.

i dont think the chrome ring comes on the regualr models. only the RS model gets chrome.

The CTF car photoed in Orlando, a base V6 - had the chrome rings. Pretty sure it's just the darker lenses for RS

I looked at the two cars in Houston last week parked back to back (one RS and one not) looking for that difference. I can't really say that the lenses are darker, it just looked to me like there was a kind of "black chrome" instead of silver behind the lenses making them appear darker.

black chrome? the difference in the tail lights are the red tint. the rs is a darker red. imaybe you were looking at the "black concept" camaro. that has black chrome everything. none of the models have black chrome on them. are you talking about the headlights or taillights? the headlight difference is that the rs has HID and the halo ring. the regular model does not have those. headlight assembly should be the same otherwise.

No...I am talking about the tail lights, and no, I'm not talking about exterior chrome. What I'm referring to is behind (or inside) the tail lights. I could be wrong, but I don't believe the inside of the tail light on the RS is as reflective ( or bright, I should say) as the outside bezel, giving it the appearance of having darker lenses. The non-RS models definitely have more of a "chrome" look behind the lenses. I seem to recall it being referred to as a "special tail light treatment", but I've not heard anything as to exactly what that means. I could be darker lenses, but it didn't appear that way to me.

the lenses are red on the tail lights. where is chrome coming into play here other than what is surrounding the light on the exterior trim piece. the special tail light treatment is the dark red appearance on the rs. the regualr models have a lighter red appearance to them than the rs. this is with the lights off. i dont know if you saw them with the lights on but the appearance , should be more noticeable with the lights off.

You would have to stand there and look at them side by side I guess.
