Thumbs down Sorry, but I really need to rant for a moment...

Jason =

First, there is a 2010 Camaro on eBay for a starting bid of $44,000 and a "Buy it Now" of a staggering $55,000.

Wrong, just wrong. I hope it gets not one bid.

Second....

Also on eBay, there is a 2010 Camaro brochure that I do not expect to be hard to get a hold of in a few days or less...

However, this is in the description...

2010 CAMARO SALES BROCHURE-LIMITED EDITION
...
NOT YET AVAILABLE

LIMITED AVAILABILITY!

This is a dealer only (item) and is already HARD TO GET! This may be the last year the Camaro is produced...GET IT WHILE IT LASTS
All of it is tripe, but the "last year" part really takes the cake Are you freaking kidding me??? It is misinformation like this that gets people worked up, gives them the wrong idea, and is generally scummy in practice.

Sorry, just had to cut loose for a moment. If you find these auctions, please do not send them hate mail or anything, it will only let them know that their BS is getting attention. Just agree that they suck and think happy thoughts...like the Camaros are arriving at dealerships!!

Sorry, but I have to disagree with you about the auction. If they can make some money off of the sale of a vehicle, good for them.

But I do agree about the brochure.

Totally agree on the Camaro brochure. I read another listing on ebay that said, "Get the Camaro brochure before GM goes out of business!" I saw red.

Just looked. Thought the $200 Camaro "Portrait" was pretty funny.

Same story here with Monaro, JasonD.

People are trying to sell their cars on the premise that Monaro will never again be built... we are seeing used car values soar beyond Monaro's RRP at the time. The reality is that most were being sold at 10-20% below RRP!!!

you mean the one for $199 that says "Extremely Limited!!!!" yet there's another one out there with 3 bids on it selling for $30?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.....

I received 3 of the "$15" brochures in the mail earlier this month from my local dealers, maybe I should post 2 of them and mark each of them "one of a kind" so I can jack the price up to $150 each

Ya know...

That's the sort of outrage I felt when I started that "Homework Assignment" thread asking members for their experience regarding local Camaro dealer scalping.

What 96SSConv#2033 said was sort of the reaction we got from certain key people that got threads closed.

A fool and his money are soon parted.

Scare tactics still work in sales. Sad but true.

Everybody go into the question/comments section in the ad and type.
"Very hard to get, I have 2 myself."

If its a dealer and not an individual you could always list them as a dealer that is marking them up here I definately like the idea of listed "perfered" dealers and Crap dealers sorted by state. If you guys and Camaro5 share data on dealers all the better. Sorry in advance if youve already done this...

I bought a PS3 right after thanksgiving a few years ago and sold it right away for $1400 (I only had to sit in a line 3am till 7am). I bought another PS3 by Christmas for MSRP, and a X360, and had some money left over I wonder how many people have beenie babies sitting around that cost them thousands but are now worthless?
