So is our pre-order pricing locked in?
So is our pre-order pricing locked in?
Someone in the know? Fbodfather?
I haven't gone back and listened to the podcast from ordering day but I was told yesterday on another board that in that podcast it said that our pricing is locked in regardless of what happens (assuming a possible price increase at launch). Anyone confirm? Can I also assume that we would get the benefit of any price decrease though (ya, wishful thinking I know)?

Anything you seen on any message board has no relevance whatsoever. the ONLY thing that matters is the paperwork you signed when you ordered the car. You aree not buying a car from chevrolet -- you are buying from an authorized dealer. The documents you signed constitute a contract between you and the seller.

You signed a contract to purchase a product with an intedeterminate price -- indeterminate at the time of contract execution. The dealer can and probably will charge you MSRP when it is delivered.
I guess the real question, based on the podcast, is if pricing does change, will the MSRP on our pre-orders be different from the factory? I agree that this is probably the only way it happens.
I'm not saying you're wrong, just pointing it out.
2 documents
I have a signed document called a "Deal Worksheet" printout that has my final price including Taxes and Gov Fees.
I also have a "OrderWORKBENCH" printout that has my order number but no prices as stated above. So, If I were you, I would try to get something signed with $$ figures not just a promise of MSRP.

Honestly, I'm not worried at all. I'm just fishing for an answer because it's being brought up in threads on the various message boards. I was just hoping someone "in the know" could provide an answer and settle it once and for all. Not losing sleep over it my friend...
