Saw the Concept at Carlisle Saturday
Saw the Concept at Carlisle Saturday
I got to Carlisle late Friday just as they were closing down. Security let me in since all the vendors had packed up for the day anyway. I went straight to the farthest building where the concept was. The hood was closed and looking down the hood is beautiful. The hood seemed captured the full effect and look of the 69 hood but had the look of a new car. The rear of the green house was alot faster than the COPO 69 that was behind it. I actually like the back of the concept greenhouse more than the 69.
Saturday I got a better look. The hood was up and the lights were set up. What I didnt expect in person was the front to be sloped down like it is and the front opening to be thinner than it looks in pictures. I also expected the short doors of the 1st gen. From what I could tell the doors were shorter than the 3rd and 4th gens but what I wasnt expecting were they seemed longer than the 1st. With my complaining about the length of 4th gen doors, at the same time 1st gens were probably a bit too short. My first impression of the concept doors is they are just about right.
I think the car would benefit from more 69 ques like the 69 wheel well swooshes and posibly opening the grille up just a touch but I do understand it has to appleal to everyone. Also I do know it isnt productioin
The car definately offers alot of what I want.
The sweet Yellow Z06 showed up with MFG plates.
Scott gave a great seminar. I was surprised to see my cousins in the back of the room lol If you get the chance, I highly recommend sitting in on Scotts seminars.
