There is a good possibilty that the car was just not ready for NAIAS. Either way, who really cares where it will be introduced, it will just be nice to see a Z28 being built!

 

Coulda fooled me . I went to Detroit this past Saturday and left pretty peeved because there were so many people there . I couldnt hardy move to walk, let alone get to actually see the cars I wanted to see. I was really quite shocked to see all the attention the Cruze was getting.

So in light of that, I will be in Chicago on a WEEKday. It'd be nice to see a never before seen new Camaro sitting on a platform, that one with the CTS-v front brakes

 

My observation is that Detroit, Chicago, and New York all get a lot of debuts. Detroit tends to get a higher ratio of concepts. Waiting for Chicago or New York to announce a new production model is not at all unusual for an American company.

 

Chicago is a HUGE show - with a lot of floor space and traffic. I've heard it's actually bigger than the Detroit show.......which would make it a natural venue for a Z28 roll out.

 

Attendance at the Chicago show is huge. Physical size wise, it is the third largest auto show on the planet behind Frankfurt and Paris. The Chicago show has great access via train. It makes a difference in the winter...

Lots of vehicles have been unveiled at Chicago such as the G8, Hybrid pickups, Fellows Z06, etc..

I can't tell you if that means anything regarding Camaro...

 

Hopefully the storm is cleaned up and over by next week.

Detroit was cold... Harrisburg PA was even colder. Particularly on the flight back to Florida as most flights out of Harrisburg include a plane switch that includes the added fun of swapping out of a small plane down a old style ladder exit into the cold invirons to retrieve your luggage on the concrete in the windy open.
