Can a dealer charge you mark-ups if you order your car through them? I've been thinking about the options I "hope" to get (sunset orange SS? with white stripes, V-8, 6 speed, black interior) and I just can't see one like that sitting on a dealer lot. If I did it would probably be an automatic so I figured I'd probably have to order the one I want anyway...

 

Um, I got $7500 off sticker on my 04 GTO... Maybe the first month or so they TRIED to mark them up, but 7 or so months in when I bought mine they were giving them away. $3500 factory to dealer incentive, $1500 for financing through GMAC, and $2500 off directly from the dealer...

 

Dealers generally only mark up stock vehicles. "I have one of the first"... BS stuff. I don't see any way they can mark up a factory order.
