A bit too heavy for a pony car but about in line with a sport coupe. I think the Camaro has graduated into a new class but carries, literally, several hundred pounds of pampering, airbags and thick enough steel to get a 5-star crash rating. GM did a good job IMO keeping the weight where it is from Zeta roots but in order to be more than a pony car it needed a lot more and so the weight is what it is. This is a solid car with much more content than previous models of the same name.

It would be poor writing to write about the SS and then turn around and state the weight for the V6.

Just throwing that out there but if I was a betting man (which I'm not) I would put my money on that weight, 1,700kgs, is for a version of the V8.

I completely agree, and I'm upset with CarTribe for publishing such poor writing.

You want in on that bet?

No thanks. Not worth it. Too much vague info and poor writing. That and I don't wager my money, I work too hard for it.
