VIN #3 car signed by Scott Settlemire
We all heard the story about cars VIN 1 and 2 at auction at Barrat Jackson going to North Carolina. I was surprised that this car was there. I dont know its story,(auction or who owns it) but someone here might. The car to the right is a red V6. I believe they said it is owned by the assistant to the director of the CIA and is gaurded at all times. If you know the story and wish to correct this let me know as Ill gladly edit this, but the story I was told was something along those lines. I had thought I had got pics of it but I didnt...

Mule, next to production. It has the SS V8 LS3 Mail slot, but the rest of the grille is V6/Concept style as you can see. Note the spoiler lip is current V6/Concept, and the SS Foglight bulge and lines are absent. Tail lights are different from both Concept and production and actually just look generic. Torque gauge in cluster. Fuel shut off in trunk written on Steering wheel. I also like the Holden Austrailia sticker on the 1/4 window. You can see the trailer hitch still there. I still like the Mules grile style better than production, but if it had been used it would have had to been refined. I thought the mule vins were interesting compared to production vins.

Indy pace car and the pic repasted of the 5thgen pace car next to the 69 pace car. The guy who was really cool let me move the chairs to get the shot. Had I thought about it I would have move them farther to get the door of the 69 as well. Also they said this may have been the car the French racer who won the Indy 500 did a belly flop on and that this would be the car given to him. You can see VIN 3 Inferno Orange car in the background to the right. The red V6 to the left of the VIN 3 car is the CIA assistant director car.

Thanks for the compliments guys. All these were shot from my phone so getting them here was a task. I didnt realize I didnt paste my link to more pics so I pasted them all here. Here is the link as well. I met one of our members Camaro00SS who was a really cool guy with a nice 4th gen. Wish I could have got to do the ride and drive but I was too late. The VINS interest me. I think there was/is some contraversy on how many 69(or so) COPO Corvettes. Can you tell Im still a 69 Camaro nut? The 5th Gen is a very beautiful car in person too. Anyway enjoy
