Photoshop Fun: New SS without mirrors and Jet Stream Blue

When I first saw the image of the SS, I wanted to see what it would look like without mirrors.

Then I wanted to see what it would look like in a Jet Stream Blueish color (a color I mixed myself a few years ago and jokingly call Brangeta Blue), but in the process, I had to make the car gunmetal.

And here is the final product.

Wow, awesome work. Thanks. I hope that cybergray looks a lot like this gunmetal. Can you black out the Bowtie as well?

I can't do that at the moment, but maybe someone else can do that before I get around to it.

Something I noticed while transitioning from silver to gunmetal, is that the darker colors slim the car substantially. The silver one's front bumper looks a lot taller than the gunmetal one's visually. The blue one I did retained that slim look to it. That means that if someone orders a yellow, silver, or white one, it's going to look pretty beefy compared to the darker shades. I just thought that was kind of interesting.

I think in your photo it looks slimmer in that gunmetal color because the bottom of the chin is a lot darker compared to the other two.

Think that's what he meant. That's why women say dark colors make them look slimmer.

wow man, just when I seem to accept GM's crappy blue offerings you throw something else up and get me fired back up. How can GM not make the Camaro in that blue. GM should hire Ford/Chrysler's color designers!

That color seems to have a little too much green in it for jet stream blue. The gunmetal grey looks good, with a tint of blue.

Yeah, that's because it's a color I mixed in photoshop a few years ago to be my favorite color. It's not Jet Stream Blue, but it's similar.

Anyone know the color on the Blue CAddie XLR that was on hot rod power tour brought by GM? It showed up in some photos in Hot Rod magazine. Sorry this sounds real vague! But I tried my best!
HEy found a photo!
