If they say doing that will void the warranty, I will buy down there anyways. I am done with being screwed up here. It's the same for everything. Price out stuff at Lowe's for example and compare to a Lowe's store up here.

G.M. Warranty will be non valid for the first 6 months, after that, it's all good !!!

You will still have to pay delivery charges on a Malibu in an Oshawa dealership even though the car is built down the street.

You're right. They are 33,999.00 here and I know the dealers will knock off some but they probably will discount as much or more at a good US dealer. I thought it was more in the US.
I hope for better with the Camaro but if it isn't I will look to import one.

U.S. dealers are not permitted to sell to customers who live out of the country, as per their franchise agreement. The way around this is to provide a U.S. address for the dealer to deliver the car to. Not impossible, by any stretch of the imagination!

Best regardSS,

They can sell cars 6 months or older to Canadians and many are selling new anyways.

I think maybe he's speaking theoretically but it's not. Malibu is built at Fairfax, KS with the Saturn Aura and Orion Township, MI with the G6.

You have to pay delivery charges on both Malibu and Aura here in KC even though they're built less than 30 miles from my house.

They even screw us on the delivery charge too!

Take the 2008 Lacrosse (Allure in Canada) as an example...the destination is $750 in the States and $1250 in Canada...and it is built here...

Anyone wanna explain that one?

I'm sure for a small fee or Canadian beer a fellow Camaro loving yankee may be able to provide a destination address to help our northern friends save some coin.

If one of those things is OnStar, I'd take a Sawzall and cut that **** out.

I'm just emphatically stating if the car that is an American symbol of freedom has a GPS monitoring/tracking device standard, I would either find a way to have it removed, or not buy it. I don't care if it looks like a 69 Z28, has 5000hp and weighs 2600lbs.

Can you just unplug it?

I guess I don't see the downside of it If you don't like it, just don't pay for it and after the first year you won't have it anymore.
