No Camaro until 2010?
No Camaro until 2010?
According to GM High Tech Performance magazine the Camaro has been given the greenlight. BUT, we won't see it until 2010. WTF with 2010? By then the new Mustang wil have been on the road for a year already. And the Camaro will be playing catch up with the new Mustang that is rumored to look exactly like the Camaro.
Why would it take so long to get the Camaro back on the road?
Why would it take so long to get the Camaro back on the road?

Re: No Camaro until 2010?
Not going to make me popular, but I will believe it is in production when they hit the dealer lots and I am not holding my breath for that day. The Camaro had its run and it's done. The market has been shrinking for years, with the occasional upward blip, but the trend is clear. Now, I would love to be proven wrong, but the car makes less sense now then it did 4 years ago with the demographics of the Country and it was cancelled then.
I just don't see GM putting money in, what essentially is, a niche car.

What you "believe" and what some of here "know" are two very different things.
I think you will be happily shocked in a few years......

I may have to wait another 12-18 months for my version of the new Camaro, but I'll still expect to be driving one before my 45th birthday. (Which is in 2010.)

I try to follow most of the 5th Gen threads and even if a newb did a search I could see where there would be some confusion.
A few folks that think 2007 as a MY2008, The majority seem to think 2008 as a MY 2009 as far as I can tell. And a few folks on the tail end thinking 2009 as a MY 2010.
