I don't like the front either. It just doesn't look right.

I'm not a big fan but it does show the versatility of 5th Gen design.

I agree that the back half of the car looks great. The spoiler is just perfect. The front leaves a lot to be desired though. The front end is just too blunt/ flat. I wish it would extend further, the headlights just don't look right to me, and maybe use some chrome trim around the nostrils instead of the cheap looking grey paint. I like the '77/'78 inspired nose that I saw in the very popular photoshop I've seen of a 5th gen bird.

Being that the new Camaro takes it's cues from the 1st gen, I would think that a company would want their kit to take cues from the 1st gen Firebird/Trans Am.

The 5th Gen should have THAT spoiler.

They combined two generations here. I do like the rear spoiler. It's finished much nicer than the spoiler found on Dale E. Concept at SEMA.

I understand what they were trying to do with the front. It harkens back to the 69 Firebird front. But It fall short. And the shaker scoop? Why not the twin scoops of the 69 Trans Am? That would have looked So much better.

Tail lights ROCK! The front split grill is kinda cool but WAY too big. I think the most glaring omission if they were mixing generations is the firebird on the hood. Headlights should have been doubled.

I'm on the fence, but overall I like it. I guess what matters, is that it's instantly recognizable as a Trans Am. I would like to see double lights up front, but the '70-73 style singles don't bother me too much. I'm less of a fan of the late 70's tail lights. Fesler is doing their Moss/Fesler Camaro with a taillight treatment similar to a '69 RS, which is not much different than the '69 bird's...something like that would be better. Two horizonal slats instead of three...but I guess it all boils down to what they want to nose and tail to resemble.

Pontiac is not dead, as long as their are still folks who love and care for their Pontiacs. GM can put the brand into hiatus but that doesn't kill the brand. I believe they're keeping the brand on purpose, and have a revival in mind for some spot in the future, even if not necessarily a current vehicle under development.

As for the ASC concept, I like it a lot... I might increase the size of the headlights but that's about all. The basic shape of the new Camaro lends itself to this kind of treatment and makes the concept striking and shapely. I wonder what it will cost?
