Well, just for ***** & giggles, I looked up the WEIGHT of the Avenger .

3355 lbs.

Add a little more motor and RWD ... couple hundred more pounds??

I hope you're right.

Don't forget to account for beefier suspension components and chassis stiffening required to handle 400+ horsepower.

Coupe doors are longer. They weigh more. Typically, that offsets most of the weight lost from the rear doors. You'd be lucky to save 50 pounds.

An Avenger isnt exactly a huge car and the Camaro makes it look like a land barge sitting next to it. And like jg said, the roofline is lower than the window line of the Tahoe. Very nice. Def some of the nicer pics so far.

Yah my buddy has an Avenger and I just went out to it in the parking lot to see how big/high it is and it's just your average looking car these days. I was picturing based off these pics how big the Camaro would be and I think it's going to be one sleek looking machine

Here are some numbers for comparison. Shows how much wider the concept is than the mule. Even accounting for perspective I don't think the Camaro mule is 7.8 inches wider than that Avenger.

2008 Dodge Avenger:

Wheelbase 108.9
Length 190.9
Width 71.8
Height: 58.9

Camaro Concept:

Wheelbase: 110.5
Length 186.2
Width 79.6
Height: 53

2002 Camaro:

Wheelbase: 101.1
Length: 193.2
Width: 74.1
Height: 51.3

1969 Camaro:

Wheelbase: 108
Overall Length: 186
Width: 74
Height: 51.1

I like how the top of the camaro is at the height of the bottom of the suburban windows. I have '00 Z28 & '01 suburban it's the same.

Doug, I realize you've posted the dimensions on that thread, but that thread started specifically about weight "weight poll for you guys," so it may not be where people are going to immediately look to discuss physicial dimensions vs. a thread entitled "size comparison" - especially when the comparison doesn't come up until page 10 of that thread. I figure this is a different enough discussion to be valid.

What if they have fiberglass skins like the 4th gens?

Thats why I started this thread the pics were buried 10 pages deep under "weight poll for you guys" I figured the pics would be better suited having their own thread to discuss them.

No problem, Doug. I just didn't want you to think we were stepping on your toes from the other thread.
