Not bad for a FWD utility vehicle.

Heinrocket could probably wheel an Aveo to a sub 10 minute lap.

11 SCCA championships just don't happen by chance.

I was more or less pointing out that 8minutes and 70seconds is typically not a convention used for timing.

Like I said I made a mistake and it is corrcted, If you need to know it was Metric time only used in small eastern European countries you will never visit.

Or if you use normal wisdom and you will note the key under the 7 is a 4 and sometimes some of us miss.

I have seen John race and he is the man. You can have your Carrol Shelbys as he has had his time but today John has proven his worth and hopefully his place in GM history along with Zora.

If he keeps tuning cars like he is his place will be secured soon.

So some claim they dropped 330lbs on the V Spec with more carbon fiber... but how could they do that exactly?

The base car must have cast iron body panels.

Wow, shocking . I'm looking at the first picture of the Camaro entering the turn thinking "damn, those headlights really ARE fugly!? " and you guys are starting to like them?!

Personally? I'm glad that they're: :notheadlights:

Otherwise? The car looks AMAZING out on the track!

Anyone notice the little antenna on the roof above the passenger's door? I wonder if it's attached to a GPS/datalogger device, which tracks a vehicle's position around a course? Hmmmm, there could be computer data of the Camaro's lap time .

And what's with the amber colored outer tail-lenses?! That's new!

I think they're required to have outer amber turn signals in Europe. I thought I remember it being stated somewhere on the board and that the amber tails won't be see in the NA market cars. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm with you. The mock-up head lights do suck.

While the amber lights may be required in Europe, I thought they were there because this car originated in Australia. The NA version will not have the amber lights.

you are delusional..the GTr times were with shaved slicks and uped boost..closer to 550hp..the GTR lap time was a running start the Z was a standing start..

go register on a GTR forum

dont even get me started on the ZR1 comment, woooooooowwww just wooooowww

Initial dyno numbers from the GTR indicate that the car is underrated and actually has 550+hp.

Still, the car that allegedly ran a 7:38 could very well be turned up even higher.

I believe I read somewhere that the official 480 hp rating is being seen at the wheels.
