I could careless what Motortrend has to say....

But I did take notice when Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords threw a set of MT drag radials on a stock 2011 GT and squeeked daylight under the left front tire while running 12.34......

Pretty cool what competition among brands will do! Can't wait to see what happens next!

Never said that.

Future ride...Mustang GT....Current ride Mustang GT.....hmmmm...I was born at night but not born in the dark....I have never bashed the new GT....I have said they are as common as bellybuttons in Toronto...That fact stands....Yep...Its a good car and the Camaro is a bloody great piece of machinery as well with similar performance, better warranty (way better), IRS standard and way taller gear for this test ..... and the look and feel...well you know how the Camaro lover feels.......Last year the styling was "stunning" this year it's "cartoonish"...sorry but everyone who gives me a thumbs up every single day I drive my SS must read Marvel comics right?
Guess Ford must of comitted to a BIG advertizing buy from Motor Trend for 2011.....

And remember your earlier statement? "Haters will always hate"? You do realize that you yourself are coming across as a hater, don't you?
What do I expect? I expect a car enthusiast to like his car for what it is regardless of anyone's opinions. You bought it for a reason hopefully it's because when you drive it you feel great, not to try and impress others...

He shouldn't bash either car if he really likes cars and doesn't drive it to be the popular guy because of his "New" camaro with no real insight like the majority of the crew on that other camaro website. What was it camaro5 I think?

Why change your feelings because of what someone else said about your car? Never said you couldn't or shouldn't talk positive about your car at all, it's yours do what you want.

Who cares how many posts I do or don't have. What does it matter?

As for the hater comment, I'm not hating on anyone or anything. I'm pointing out that a lot of new 2010 Camaro owners talk their car up a ton and tend to bash the competition just for the sake of bashing it and or they're clueless about what they even own. The few 2010 Camaro owners who do love what they drive and cars in general tend to respect the competitor a lot more do to the fact they actually have an idea of what their Camaro is about and not because it stared in transformers.

Thanks for pointing out what I drive and if you missed It I plan to get a new Camaro too. 2012 though with the good interior and I have to update my future rides thanks for reminding me. The styling on the camaro sure is stunning and it's also cartoon like with the exaggerated hips I love them. You should see what they look like on 24's as that really makes them look even more cartoon like
Who doesn't pay big advertising money in auto magazines?

See this guy seems to like what the competition brings. He must be a real camaro enthusiast.

I beg to differ. Are the new Mustangs almost as terrible as your spelling?

guess I am NO enthusiast....My 6 speed 2SS must be my Grand-ma mobile. I dont think too many people are paying attention to Camaroz282008 anymore....Lots of mustang sites for him to go drool over the new 5.0liter....Motor trend has their opinion....We have ours and we are 100,000 strong so that aint bad for a car that was dead buried and gone for 7 years...big future ahead and I am glad that some reviews prefer the Mustang...little heat under Chevy's butt is good but it is clear as day which car put the heat under Ford's butt to finally update that old Mustang....now if they could finally bring the old chassis into the new world ....

I have seen this issue of Motortrend and it was "illuminating" to say the least. While I thought some of the comments made about both the V6 and V8 versions was a bit harsh, the facts can't be denied. I know people are bashing the article because it was opinionated but the facts seem to be getting glossed over. Here are the facts:

1. Both versions of the Mustang beat both versions of the Camero in every performance measure, the V6 got beat worse. That should be a big deal to folks who own a Camero, unless the purchase was strictly based on looks and not performance.

2. The Camero is too heavy by at least 300 pounds (both V6 and V8). I'm not saying anything no one here doesn't already know.

3. The Camero is too damn big, both in length and width. All of that extra steel is most likely contributing to the extra weight. The Camero has done nothing to dispel the image of American cars being big, fat, heavy SOB's.

4. The interior of the Camero is comprised of cheap materials, a ridiculous looking steering wheel, and the worst vision problems I have experienced in a coupe, with the exception of the Nissan G37.

I do not agree with the article stating the style is getting old, I mean that is a ridiculous statement since the car has only been out a year. The Camero is a looker, that can't be denied no matter how bad GM botched other aspects of the car.

I was in the market for a coupe several months ago and test drove a Camero and did not end up buying it for many of the reasons listed above. It was a 2LT model with a manual transmission and the RS package. I did not like the interior at all, and the vision issues were impossible to overlook. That and the Chevy dealership I went to thought they were selling a Ferrari instead of a Camero, as there was no negotiation on price. I don't buy cars at full MSRP, ever, the Camero was not going to be an exception to that.

I ended getting something else obviously, and I'm not going to say what it is because I don't want to start a bunch of name calling and unnecessary nastiness. I'm not coming here to troll either, I'm just frustrated that Chevy/GM messed up the important aspects of this car, as I really wanted to buy American. The 2011 Mustang was not available when I bought my car, or I would have purchased that instead. Hopefully the 6th gen will address all of the issues with the 5th gen and make them right.

All the non owners are "experts"...live with the car...drive it daily(love the lurkers who wont admit what type of car they drive...must have bought a Kia or something)....visibility...non issue once you own car...steering wheel....one of the smartest most comfortable designs ever put on a human hand....someone was thinking when they made that wheel.....shifter...again a real smart move...fits your hand and is not too fat....Chassis...extraordinary...interior....I think it works and is very comfortable....except for that damned passenger seat with no adjustments that my GF hates. Thanks GM for taking some huge risks and embedding some neat new features (still LOVE the lights in door panels at night)...and building a car albeit not perfect that scared the bejesus out of Ford and now we have a horse race.....
