Nascar + Camaro
Re: Nascar + Camaro
I think the Nationwide Challenger/Mustang front end looks like a damn good representation of the production car.....I'm just talking the front end. C'mon, for a spec car...what are you expecting.
Re: Nascar + Camaro
I have nothing against either series -- although I am more familiar with NASCAR, having attended about 15 races over the years.
I am looking forward to seeing a Grand-Am race, as soon as I can. From my very distant vantage point, Grand-Am seems to be more like what NASCAR was when I was a kid (a long time ago). The cars in that series are more closely linked to their factory counterparts.
Re: Nascar + Camaro
First Chevy should market the camaro as not being allowed in Nascar as it is an unfair advantage.
Then they need to use a name like Chevelle and market it as a performance package as well.

Re: Nascar + Camaro
There were big rumors last year of Camaro entering NHRA Pro Stock at some point this year.
IIRC The first body that was rolled out for approval (can't remember if it was 5-star, RJ, or who actually built the body) didn't make the cut and the effort was delayed.
Pro Stock would be cool since the cars are a stretched likeness of the production car without the "cartoon" element that Pro Modifieds and Funny Cars tend to get.
