Kevin,

I for one completely agree with the strong 3rd gen cues. When I see that head on picture, I completely see a 91-92 z/28. Perception's are a funny thing, people see what they want to in a car, both positively and negatively.

LOL, even though I think the Shelby is pretty slick, that was a pretty funny comment.

Oh, and I'll be driving that for 2 1/2 years before your car even comes in.

here's the final version...........http://info.detnews.com/pix/photogal...t500/index.htm

Car looks good, I ain't going to hate, hell....even Ford got a cue from the Corvette and threw on some ZO6 shoes.

The grille looks too reminescent of Ford's current Thunderbird, IMHO. So perhaps from the roof to the lower portion of the windows, this Camaro resembles a first generation. The rest of the car resembles the third generation.

Anyone's input is appreciated, just don't flame me. .
You hit it on the mark. Having these pictures next to each other, I can see how they adapted the style of the previoud camaros into the retro camaro.

Just like my 02 35th Anniv. Edition SS rims, they used similarities to the 3rd gen camaro rims.

The Mustang "concept" is 2 or 3 years old and STILL looks killer.

Yeah the mustang concept looked really good when i saw it in person at the LA auto show. What i meant by "2-3 years from now" was directed at future updates to the mustang. From what IREngineer wrote on an old post, he said he will probably be purchasing a mustang...so the update must be worthwhile.

Regardless, I will be buying the Camaro no matter what.

Re: The Mustang just aged 20 years...

The last two posts mimicked exatly what I was thinking.

My opinion on it all....

Mustang Concept
Camaro Concept
Challenger Concept
production Mustang.

A lot of that could flip flop once production versions of the other two cars hit the streets. That said though. If the Camaro comes out looking like that and I can get an LS2 powered Camaro for 27k that weighs in at 3500 lbs... Sign me up.

Go ahead and drive that thing for 2 1/2 years. Fine with me, because I still don't like it.

No need to be testy sir as if you would re-read my post you'd notice I said in a few years this could all flip flop when the actual cars come out. And the statement was based upon what looked best not what I could go out and buy right now. That's an obvious statement that doesn't need to be made.

Re: The Mustang just aged 20 years...

Looks like a MUSTANG???? It looks as much like the new muskrat as the 1969 Camaro looked like the 1969 Muskrat. They are Pony Cars people, they are supposed to be similar. The Challenger and Cuda also fit in that mold. (and the Firebird) Some people are Oblivions. I recall driving around in my old Grand National, and getting comments at redlights like "Nice Monte Carlo". Don't let the big wigs at GM hear you say this looks like a Mustang. I WANT THEM TO BUILD THIS CAR ASAP. I will be there day one to get one.
