I'm not flaming the guy, just being honest. He's terribly misplaced in that job. I don't know if he relys on the automaker handing him official press information, if he has really bad contacts, or if he simply has his head in the sand or is simply collecting a paycheck and making stuff up.

The Magazine itself is OK, but I think they are a bunch of panzies for not posting top speeds anymore.

But the "future's" and "on-line" editor...... don't get me started!

BTW, FWIW: Automobile magazine also erroniously posted that GTO was coming back and Camaro was dead, but they are above making retarded, face saving (or a*s saving), backhanded comments when it's blantantly obvious they got something wrong as MT's guy is.

Did I say the MT's future's guy is lousy at his job?
can i wager a guess that you are saying the "future's" guy is not good at his job?????

seriously, i personally don't regard any of the big mags as good anymore. they aren't bad, just too opinionated sometimes.

Re: Motor Trend and Camaro

I cancelled my subscriptions to automobile, car & driver, and motor trend.

I cant stand how they trash american vehicles. they'll spit out some good stuff and then they'll HAVE to nitpick and say something negative. almost as if it is imperative they say something bad about an american vehicle.you guys seem to know this already. I almost wrote them a letter "I have cancelled my subscription to your magazine and subscribed to a german magazine because yours is an american magazine and therefor must be inferior." but I didnt have the *****

I subscribed to hot rod. $15 for two years how can I say no to that? and they have nice things to say about american cars!

Re: Motor Trend and Camaro

I just read the forums here. Find more up to date, relevant information here than any of the other mags. If I stuck to the mags, a few months ago I would've been reading for the first time that Zeta architecture was dead. Meanwhile, this site had already discussed it, and also learned that it wasn't so much dead.

Re: Motor Trend and Camaro

Maybe they meant it wouldn't reach production "As SEEN", they always seem to tone them down until they don't look anything like the concepts, or maybe were unsure about the legality of using the "Name"....or maybe a beancounter thing...
I like some of their stuff, but still seem a little import biased...to me, and too much editorial stuff clouding the facts.
