Two specs for the 6.2L V8... 395 hp for the auto version, 420 hp for the manual. Why so?

because the auto is getting the L99 V8 with AFM at 395 hp thought to be underrated (400hp actually) and the stick is the LS3 at underated 420hp (425 actually)...that settles which drivetrain im getting!

Wouldn't it be more cost-effective to put the same motor in both?

They are putting the motor with AFM in the auto so that it gets better gas mileage. The LS3 does not have AFM.

I'm suprised this write-up seems postive, at least regarding what we think we know about the car. It seemed pretty objective.

I'm excited now. If the $33K for the fully loaded SS is right that'll be great! I'm still going to wait and see what happens with the Z28.

I'm really liking the way the RS looks better than the SS. The front lower grill looks much better to me, and I'm really not even put off by the missing nose slit on the front.

All I can say is that I just absolutely cannot WAIT to see this thing on lots and on the road.

If you watch the CNBC video posted here, they say the RS pkg will be available on the V8 and V6...
