112.3 what is so magical about this WB number ??

MT states that 112.3 is the WB of the GEN 5 Camaro.

My wifes Malibu Maxx WB is 112.3

The new 2008 Mailbu is 112.3

All G6 are 112.3

Who knows what other GM models are 112.3 also ?

What is so special about this WB number ??

Perhaps they're all on the same platform. Just a guess as I don't know for sure.

I'm guessing he means "wheelbase". And the fact that it (possibly) shares a wheelbase length with the Malibu is purely coincidence....it obviously is not the same platform.

Camaro isn't on the same platform, but the other three all are. The Malibu Maxx, new Malibu and G6 are all Epsilons. The Malibu Maxx previously used the "Long" wheelbase while the 2004-2007 Malibu sedan used a short version (106.3). The 2008 Malibu sedan moved up to the same "long" wheelbase Epsilon used by the G6 and Saturn Aura.

That would be an excellent question to ask Doug Houlihan tomorrow....
