Looking closely, that appears to be the new keyfob with remote control built in, and the button with an arrow going around in a circle is GM's factory installed remote start (I know because my Mom's Lucerne has it).

Look what the keyfob is laying on - a manual transmission gearshift boot.

VERY interesting!
hmmm....that is interesting....very interesting muhahaha

yes agreed if i was a ricer i'd probably just swan dive off of a tall building but for those out there who are ignorant to the fact that they suck would do well with a reminder of the dread they had when the camaro was alive game was running rampant 6 years ago. i'm just planning on doing my part to make this country a better place for us all.

For my Camaro an auto. 510rwhp cam only LS3 w/ a 4k stall plus supporting mods equals high 10 second times on motor w/ the right setup unless it weighs 4.2k. No 10`s w/ a manual. I will be drag racing a lot of weekends. Not to mention consistency.

I bought my C6 in 06 w/ a manual to enjoy the street and the twisties.

I want my cake and I wantto eat it too....

My first experience with a stick was my wife's 5 speed Sunfire . When it was time to get another car for "me", I wasn't even considering automatics.

After owning my 6 speed SS my mind was made up.....never going back to an auto!

That's a great description...that's exactly how it drives. It feels like you have even less control of the car (than even an auto). Would be much better with a fully manual/clutch. I've never driven a GM paddle-shifted "slushbox", and don't really want to.

Well the "slushbox" in my 99 Trans Am and my 93 Z28, and my 87 Grand National were't slushy at all. All of them got squirley when they hit 2nd. Shifted nice and hard STOCK.

We were referring to GM paddle-shift trans as "slushboxes" vs. BWM's SMG tranny. I've had plenty of GM autos that banged gears nice and hard...they would be my preference for a car that would see the track a lot.

oh, well since the closest track to me is Gainsville IRW, I don't think I'll be taking my Camaro to the track much. They closed down the track in Jacksonville and developed the land with condos and stuff.

Tell the truth, you'll argue about anything won't you? Slushbox is a generic term used to describe automatic transmissions, it wasn't meant to start a debate about the positive shift characteristics of late model automagics...

If I were to buy a Camaro it would probably be a 6 speed automatic (which is the most likely automatic). I don't particularly care for manuals in daily drivers. However if it was a pure weekend car or the fuel economy difference was significant, I might do a manual.

I will want a manual. It wouldn't be a drag car...more of fun driving around town kinda thing. For that...I would only want a manual

Manual because it'll be cheaper with it, then, after getting the LS7 crate motor, I'll be pairing it with a TR6060 with custom gear ratios.
