The Camaro concept definitely radiates meanness. The Challenger, as mentioned above, looks too much like the traditional muscle car. Although it has an aggressive look, it doesn't compare to that of the Camaro.

It wasn't inadvertent, and it wasn't "confirmation". Influences went back and forth at the time. (You're not going to argue that the Camaro didn't "rip off" a ton from the Mustang, are you?) The E bodies were certainly more influenced by the Camaro than they were by the Mustang (or anything else), but at the same time they carried cues -- including that pillar -- that were reflected throughout the Dodge and Plymouth (and Chrysler) lines in 1969/1970/1971 and were surely on the Chrysler drawing boards before anyone outside GM saw the '69 Camaro.

And besides, I said "I see your point", which I did, and then I made mine. Don't be in such a hurry to create an argument where none existed.

That is actually one of my least favorite shots.
I actually tried to find pictures of each car in more or less the same angle that gave each car it's meanest look in a more or less stock trim. The challenger was, well...a challenge because there really aren't that many different angles of pictures taken of it and it seems that none exist in a left front angle shot.

Really? That was my desktop wallpaper since the day it was released up until they released the new convertible photos. I think it's one of the best shots of the original concept.

But, FWIW... neither the Camaro or Mustang are musclecars.

For the sake of fairness, let me throw in two pictures of the Mustang in concept form.

The orange one is not the concept for the mustang you see on the roads today, the silver one is. However, I wouldn't say that either of them look more aggressive than the Camaro concept.

I know, but I figued I'd throw them out there to compare apples to apples. Neither the Challenger nor the Camaro are on the roads today either, and neither will look exactly identical to the concept.

The Giuguiaro Mustang does not look like a muscle car. Its like a Ferrari. The 2005 concept Mustang (I like the most) looks more agressive than the production version, which is a little wimpy. The Challenger is just too big. But the Camaro is the most aggressive looking..

Therefore, it makes sense that the new one looks like the old one, it's also a blatant copy of the original...which just happens to look alot like the 1st gen Camaro's as well.

true..thats what i was saying.. however the new camaro's fuel door is kinda remenescent of the old Charger is it not? So i see yall's points on sharing forms.. i do still think though, the challenger was more of a rip off than a purely dodge developement. Im not saying i dont like them, im just saying, its a little too obvious what they were styling it after with the rear half of the car looking as it did. thats all.

I just hope when the Camaro does come out it is not as dissimilar to the concept as the Mustang turned out to be. It went from a fastback look to a Mustang II look.
