lol at this guy i work with

this guy i work with is pretty much one of those people that says he has done and seen everything. It cam up at work about the new camaro and how he is on the offcial list to get one. I tell him too bad he has to wait till like 09 to get it, he tells me they are coming out in like 8 months and he will have his in 6 cause he is on the list hahaha.
He also tells me that he is getting the top of the line camaro that has 650hp and a z07 engine, i wasnt aware of a motar with the zo7 name. I asked him if he ment the ls7, and he said no the zo7 is what the new camaro is getting.

and jsut for laughs he made up a new name for a corvette, corvette 505 he called it, i asked if he ment the corvette z06 and he told me that the z06 wasnt the same thing, it was really slow haha

I would never confront him because he would never cease to amuse me. That is funny as hell. Why would they call it a 505 when the current Z06 already has 505 hp and the newer one will have more? What an amusing tool.

He probably saw the "505" badges on the Z06 and thought that was the name of the car

Here's your chance to make some easy money though. Bet him $100 he won't have the car in his driveway within a year.

What a tool.

You should tell him that he needs to get the one with the Flux Capacitor in it.

Plenty of B.S. artists and also those that are just uninformed.

The other day I was out wearing a 5th Gen t-shirt and some stranger came up to me talking about how much he liked the new Camaro and that a woman he worked with already put an order in for one.

A guy at work saw the 5th Gen I have for my computer background and went on to tell me that they were coming out with a new Firebird at the same time........GM announced it and he saw pictures on the net. I tried telling him the real story, but I was obviously misinformed and didn't know what I was talking about. I ended up just giving up as it wasn't worth the aggravation trying to tell this know-it-all he was mistaken.

Best bet with a jack-*** like that is to ask him in 6-8 months where his Camaro is.

As far as the Z06 thing, just show him the Chevy site and

Guys, didn't you hear about the list? I'm on it. But that guy is exagerating, it will take another 9 months before it comes. In fact, I'm picking it up from the Oshawa plant, then I don't have to pay for freight.

Seriously bet him $100 that he won't have the car in his driveway in 6 months.

Those types of people get annoying real fast. That is why I try to agree with everything they say and get out of the conversation as quickly as possible.

That's not as irritating as a Pontiac salesman I once met.

It was late 1978 and I was getting ready to place an order for my 1979 TransAm Black/Gold WS6. I was at the largetst Pontiac dealership in Washington (in Seattle). At the time, I owned a 1976 TransAm 50th Anniversay (Black/Gold) edition with the Hurst T-Tops (the first car to ever have them).

In fairness the car was a bit rare as there were only around 3,000 made in total and only about 600 wound up with the T-Tops but this idiot salesman stood a foot from my car and called me a lier when I told he what the car was...he swore that Pontiac had never made a car like mine and that it had to be something I had done on my own.

Needless to say, I told the guy and his equally stupid sales manager what they could do, respectively, with their opinions (I may have made some mention about their parentage as well) and then placed my order at another dealership.
