You are no tool. That's exactly what I would order if I could get my wife onboard. I already have 460 HP in my third-gen and would want the Camaro for cruising with the radio and A/C on. 300 HP, dude... That's plenty for autocrossing and even hitting the road course once and a while. You will only be short for drag racing. However, if you bracket race, your car will be consistent, and if you can stick the launch and cut the lights, you'll win just as many trophies as the 2SS guys. However, think also about how much nitrous you can buy for $10,000.... Or even a supercharger or a turbo.... but you'll have less insurance and annual registration costs.
