What is the max you will pay for the next Camaro? Be it the V6, base V8, or top 500+ hp V8.

What is your spending limit? Please specify model (V6, V8, top V8, limited edition model, etc) and if you will be buying used/demo/new etc.

For myself, I'd like to get one with all the bells and whistles but it has to be the top 500 hp model but I will probably get a used one (whenever its in my price range) around $30,000 or so.

50k is about the limit for me right now depending on what kind of job I'll have then. I'll probably have to wait til 2010 for a 500hp convertible. I want mine fully loaded IRS, HID, nicest wheels, 6 spd, mp3, and hopefully by 2010 chevy will have hopefully have those RS opening headlights. But for that much money I'm also thinking about a used Viper.

27K is about my limit. If that gets me around 350 hp /M6 with some good options and I'll be ok. No matter what I won't pay over that.

I'd rather get the base top dog for no more than 40k.

Seriously... when are they releasing this kind of information? I thought they were due out the end of this year.

Two of my buddies SWEAR it's gonna be 35-40k for a fully loaded Camaro.

Not due out 'til 1st Quarter 2009 (ie- Jan-Mar 2009).

Production is slated to start Sept-Dec 2008.

About a year and a half to go...

I did 40-45, I'd want a top dog, w/ almost everything. Wifey's would be the 30-35k number. Would like to get GMS on it if possible LOL.

I'm going to throw together what I would like to see on my camaro, so some of the things I'm throwing in are just my preference. So here we go:

Camaro mid V8
-Grey or Silver Metallic paint depending upon texture
-6 spd Sequential A/T
-Z28 pkg.
-18" or 19" wheels
-Blk textile or leather
-Sunroof(very iffy)
-I pod connector

The most i'd be willing to pay for all of this would be $33k t+l. So that means $32k msrp. Hopefully I'm not being demanding.

If the V6 comes with 325hp or more, ill probably go with that. Looking to spend around 25,000-27,000.

im only looking to spend no more then 28k thats my limit i would rather spend around 26k.
i want a base level v8 but if i cant get that i would settle for a v6 if it had 300+ if its not at least 300 then ill just pass on a 5th gen or maybe pick up a used one

For a daily driver a 320 HP 09 V6 coupe for $27-28,000 loaded will suit my needs well.

If this was a weekend play toy I could see a 430 HP V8 09 for $29-34,000

If I spent more than $40K it won't be on a Camaro.

I think many just don't consider how big a part the V6 will play this time around. The higher the gas and insurance the more important they will be.
