Here's the Z28 news
OMG!! Doom and gloom...no Z28. BooHoo... 95% of you that are bitching about no z would't buy it if they brought one out first year anyways! It sounds like a lot of bench racing whiners in here. Just like the Z06 was delayed, so will the ultimate big dog. Besides, for me I'm buying a no option base V8 and slap on a turbo and walk away from all the dreamers!
Find some that actually race their cars.
They're not like the rest of those gold chainers much like the mullet stereotype doesn't accurately portray most of us.
Even the disciples have lost faith...tisk tisk tisk.
Can you please edit your first post though so new readers will be informed?
edit: Notice that none of them have the front slit?
C6 : C6 Z06
F5 : F5 Z28

the 1st post was edited nearly an hour ago.
front slit will be exclusive to SS
If Chevy doesn't make a Camaro to compete with the GT500's I will NOT buy a Camaro. I currently own a new Z06 and two Shelby GT500s (purchased only because there was no Camaro), but I have owned 5 Camaros and would really like to own another, but not if I will to lose to every Snake I see.

Look-- I don't know you -- but you are out of line with the comment about Proctor and Gamble.
Cheryl Pilcher was a chassis engineer on the 4th gen....she was instrumental in getting the 4th gen SS approved. She was the product manager on the Corvette Z06 -- BOTH C5 and early C6 -- and she's worked diligently on the new Camaro. She's an incredible engineer -- and further -- WAS MISQUOTED.
Go stand in the corner.
I'm aware of FMVSS but I just don't get why they could have placed the reverse lights in the lower plastic valance of the C6 and not the Camaro. Tom Peters was on both.
Question 3 is more to do with the interior and the Ignition Video seen today.

Will the Camaro have a HUD option? And can you shed any light on the red LED lit interior accent. Will that be offered?

Interior accent light will be blue UNLESS you order the ORange Accent interior.............

Sweet!!!! Nice to hear of the ORange Accent interior. Hmm...as in Indy Pace car replica colors????? Awesome....I miss my 69 in that combo.

PLEASE!!!! I'm sure she was misquoted.
Hell, I've run into Corvette AND Camaro/Firebird guys that are pompous/conceited/arrogant/ignorant/have a chip on their shoulder/know-it-alls.....take your pick or add more traits you don't care for. But that isn't enough for me to judge if a whole group of owners are "real" gear heads or not.
I wouldn't be too sure about saying a someone wouldn't "step down" to a Camaro after a Corvette. I've owned a 96 Z28 & 01 SS after my 85 Vette.
Will I go from my 3,050 lbs Z06 with 405 HP to a 3,900 lbs Camaro SS with 420 HP? Nah, probably not.
Would I go from my Z06 to a 4,100 LB Z28? As long as that Z28 had enough power (520hp+?) to offset the weight in order to AT LEAST equal the acceleration of my Z06....then yeah, pretty likely I would
