GM memo to dealers regarding 5th Gen
The Hero cards are the fold-out flyers that were/are given out for the coupe and concept that become posters on one side. They have the tear off card you can send in for more information. Unfortunately, the convertible hero card doesn't work when you try to open it. i.e. Some of the images don't show up. but, if anyone wants it, PM me and I'll email it to you.
Man I'm hoping too that the memo was just a general notation.I'm looking forward to buying the Z-28 I never could have as a younger man.Now that I'm retired.I want to 'Drive around in style, drive everybody wild".Red and white with the biggest, baddest, loudest power plant .I will be deeply disappointed if there's no Z or SS,avail.immediatly.Only buying once and don't want my prize to be announced a yr.or later after I buy.Not looking for a rag top and realize they will be later. If anyone has some insight as to the models avail.first,I appreciate your post.In the meantime I'll rool over my C.D. with the deposit money.
Another one here waiting for the Z/28 version, if it's not available right away I'll just wait longer. I do hope they do a Z/28 in the spirit of the original with a superb suspension/handling package, as I'm not looking for a "straight line only" machine.

Hopefully not, but it doesn't give out any info we didn't already know or that they don't want us to know. It just confirms stuff we've been guessing about over the last year or more.
I, too, worry about the Q1 '09 launch being too late. There's other exciting products that offer V8 performance on a budget like the G8, the Challenger will be out, and new Mustang just around the corner. I think the Camaro will be unfashionably late to its own party.
If the production version is slated to be very similar to the concept, then the image of the car is already 3 years old in enthusiasts' heads. In my head, they're 2 years late...should have been an '07 launch....but then again, it's not (and won't be) up to me.
