Not only you shouldnt be surprised, you should expect that. I worked at a dealership where they did not allow "market adjustments" (mark-up) so instead they would invent a "security package" for $2,000.... which consisted of wheel locks, chrome exhaust tip and splash guards haha. no joke. and people paid it because it was a hot car (4 door Civic Si). And it's not like it was ricers, this was ordinary older people. The first year of the redesigned civic (2006) saw us having ZERO inventory because they were selling so fast with most selling for about $500-$1000 over msrp. This was with all trim levels and at the largest Honda dealership in Northern California (Bay Area). It took till the mid of the '07's for them to start selling at MSRP and then by the end of the '07's they were under MSRP more regularly.

GM lets you roll the price of their accessories into your monthly payment, but they also have to be installed at the dealership to keep from voiding your warranty.

I dunno if you got it...but its a joke.
Everyone is so excited about ripping GM apart for the preproduction headlights, that it would be funny if GM just made them as an accessory. I know I would get a kick out of it.

Yeah, as was the response. Sorry, even with emoticons dry humor just does not come across well on a message board.

in the small video the clay parts were being put on a red camaro. Do you think its the same red camaro we have been seeing at the auto show?

No, he mentioned that they had to build a production model, in order for the production parts to fit. The concept and the production models will differ subtly, but enough to make all mouldings created from the concept useless.
