But yeah, PAINTED would be so much better than decals!

for what the vinyl cost ($250ish if I remember right) it wouldn't be too much more for the paint with less problems like vinyl fade or peel.
Re: Is a factory stripe package worth it?
I'd like to see some stripe packages offered, but if it happened I think it would be out of GM Accessories as vinyl stripes, dealer installed.
Painting stripes at the factory is a big big job.
Ask Scott how much Ste Therese liked the two-tone '93 Pace Car.

Painted!!! Make it line up, there is a certain Ford GT that has uneven stripes and it make me laugh when I see the sold sticker on it. 190k still won't buy quality from Ford. Sh*t I drive one. Arggg.
Re: Is a factory stripe package worth it?
Yup, I'd have to agree on wanting painted stripes as an option instead of the decals. If it came down to it, I'd go without the decals and get them painted on after it left the lot.
I wouldn't lose to much sleep over it as it wouldn't be that big of a deal to find a shop to do a reasonably priced quality job. A buddy of mine got blue stripes painted on his white 06 Mustang GT because he didn't like the style (or material!) of the optional decals from the factory. I think it was around $400. It's an extremely nice job, looks factory, & contrasts very nicely with his blue with white stripes 65 Mustang
..............jeez, I can't believe I gave a compliment to a Mustang......I feel so cheap and dirty!!

You complimented the paintjob ON the Mustang. Not the car itself.
