Is a factory stripe package worth it?

What would it cost to get two PAINTED stripes on a new Camaro? I can't see GM offering a factory stripe package for less than $495, and I don't want anything to do with vinyl stripes like the 4th gen had.

Maybe it would be in everyone’s best interest if stripes were a "dealer installed" option. More money for dealers so they would be happy. GM could supply stencils or specs so that all strips are standardized and the customer knows what to expect. They would be painted and be covered under warranty.

The hard part is what color combo would I get Navy & white or black with silver or white

I think it'd be a great idea!

I bet a lot of people would buy the option, meaning more $$ for GM.

The down side, though, is that I have a hard time seeing GM doing this painted instead of decal... but, you never know.

Yellow w/ black stripes, baby!! They wouldn't have to twist my arm much at all!!

Bright blue with white stripes would also be a good combiniation.

I think I'd rather have the stripes be vinyl. That way after a few years if your tastes change, you can change them or simply remove them without having to repaint the car.

(This is coming from a guy with a Camaro that has painted stripes. )

I prefer that single stipe look to double ones. (This coming from someone that absolutely hates stripes.)

I just don't see the appeal of stripes. I prefer a clean uncluttered looking vehicle. Stripes really clutter the look/lines of the car to me.

I'll take solid Silver or White please...

I'll take mine as an homage to the 69 Pacecar. Hugger Orange on white
