different blue then we have seen?

yeah, i think you're right.
Got to be reflectors.
If you look at the first pic, the sun is coming from directly behind the car because the shadow is in the front. yet the sides are completley lit up.
I would say it's ABM(even though it looks like the '69 and '85 Camaro light blue).

if you notice the shadow, there is only one. and it is coming from the sun. look at all the pictures. if there was another light source, you would see the shadow and it would be at a different angle as opposed to the sun.

This Camaro is clearly lit. And I'll go with reflectors.
And notice in the first picture, there is a shadow running from the rear tire up under the car. Showing a light source coming from that direction.
Not that it is important. But it does showcase the color well.

Question to GM. If you have to heavily light a car to make the color look a certain way, why not just make that shade in the first place and make a lot of people happy? That is the shade I wanted, instead I had to go with Victory Red.

Well if you've seen AMB in person and photographed it, you'll see that what your eye sees and what your camera sees are two different colors. Same with IOM.

i think what they are trying to do with the picture, is make it look as good in the picture as it does in person. the pictures dont do a color liek this any justice. you have to see these colors in light to really get a feel for them. i think that is why they used lighting or reflectors. to give you an idea of how good the color looks without actually having it in front of you.

regardless, the green doesn't belong on that blue, its a shame. my first camaro ever was blue and i wanted one to match my 79, which is now a metallic dodge blue color, that blue would have been perfect without the green in it.

you know there is another blue you can get? and it looks amazing.

I beg to differ. I work in TV and do lighting quite often. These pics at LEAST have reflectors if not lights. Look again at the first picture. From the crease running down the length of the doors down is lit. This would be shadowed if the only source was sunlight. And in the shadows in front of the car, you can see light hot spots.

While I agree with you that there is extra light other than sunlight.. i don't think it's reflectors but more like a single flash head sitting at ground level.
How do i know??? i am a photographer.
